Fascinating to learn that a more inequal society also affects those comparatively well educated and well off further up the social ladder compared to places that have less inequality like Sweden.

Its a shame she gives no credit to the people who realised this decades ago!! But all the same kudos to see another person who realises an egalitarian state is a better state

It could also be an imigration issue, social programs, that are out of control.
I would like to see them make a comparison of these areas, for socialized and welfare programs. As well as unemployment. When you have country's like Sweden, what is their imigration situation. In these smaller country's there is more sense of oneness, and family which has been lost for the most part in the states, and some other country's. I do not feel that wealth levels make that much of a difference.

@usurynation That question was answered in her talk titled "Talk - Richard Wilkinson & Kate Pickett - Why Greater Equality Makes Societies Stronger ". The answer; racial diversity has ZERO impact on social well-being. A huge surprise to racists, I'm sure.

Kate did an excellent job describing the symptoms of the problem but she really is clueless what the cause of the problem is. You already have a politician in Britain that understands it... Daniel Hannan Conservative MEP.
