I have a squeeze 6 hole punch, I can't figure it out. It has a metal piece blocking where the hole would go. And a hole right next to it that doesn't appear to be for anything. I'm still new at this, sewing since November. Teaching myself to sew after 50 years since grammar school Home Ec. YOU have been a VIP in my sewing life.You're really wonderful at small details that other people tend to overlook like which sides go where and just little things, but important. I really appreciate these detailed explanations with camera angles I can actually see. Since I just jumped in the deep end with sewing you have been an invaluable asset to my actually achieving a finished wearable (or carryable) creation. I have modified EVERY pattern and tutorial for things I make and it's just a great hobby for someone who is handicapped and doesn't get out much. Especially if you enjoy being frustrated and confused. So, THANKS Vanessa. You are doing a valuable service, please keep it up.

Hi Vanessa, I loved you tutorial on grommets. I have a beautiful medium thick fabric to make a shirt to be open on the side. However, there is no enough fabric to make a border.Should I see a bias tape inside the same color, before adding the grommets?

Wow, very well explained. I have had some moments of panic when the grommet does not firmly grip one edge of the fabric (on the outside rim of the grommet), stressful since the bag is done.
I bang on a concrete floor to make sure it goes through :-) Great tutorial, your classes must be fantastic. Thank you.
