This is the first we see of her detective skills, and I have to say, they're pretty impressive.

Coming back to this, I'm realizing just how much detail the writers and artists managed to condense into this short scene.

Caitlyn chose to focus her investigation on the doodles left by Jinx at 0:28 (which is understandable, since they were found at the fire and explosion that killed six Enforcers).

However, the part at 0:16 when she collects the shipping manifest is perhaps the most telling part of Caitlyn's character flaw. Despite the copious amounts of Shimmer onboard, the manifest was still given a stamp of approval by the customs officer, a clear indicator of corruption. Caitlyn clearly saw this, but overlooked this crucial clue. I think this had less to do with a lack of investigative ability and more to do with her naivete.

She joined the Enforcers with the belief that she'd be able to do good in the world, and couldn't believe that the Enforcers were a corrupt and oppressive force. If she made this connection early on, she could've avoided the later confrontation on the bridge with Marcus, a confrontation that nearly killed her and Vi.

I love detective scenes like this. It reminds me of the Arkham games where Batman uses his Forensics know-how to build a composite of the crime scene. I hope we see more of this in Season 2, because Caitlyn is more than just a crack-shot; she's a brilliant investigator.
