High Grade XI Gundam Review

this is a review of the high grade gundam model kit, XI Gundam from the movie mobile suit gundam Hathaway, also known as Hathaway's flash.

Before the movie i prefer the Penelope.
But after seeing the new Xi design, im completely sold. The white chest is so too my taste.
And then, after the movie. Made me love them both. Also messer looks so cool.

Torn on this kit because I like the movie but don't care that much for the design. It was nice to see some U.C suit's go at it without a bunch of psychic super power bullshit overshadowing everything.

I'm a regular Real Grade builder and the price made me go all Keanu Reeves in Forbidden Planet (I think that's where I got it from...)! I bought this mostly as I've been going on a bit of a kit buying binge of late so I have a pretty good idea of its size! The only other kits I have whose size I can compare it to would be the HG Psyco and my MG Aile Strike, since the F91 isn't a particularly big unit... (which I also have in MG! And HG... )

Wonder if Bandai would consider making the xi gundam or Penelope Gundam for the RE100 line instead of the MG or MGEX line considering they've already released some already bulky kits in the past (eg hamma hamma and nightingale) as RE100 🤔

If you’re getting out the orange paint, wouldn’t you just paint all the orange the same color instead of worrying about matching?

Sadly for you jabman, the Xi Gundam's delivery pod came with two extra beam rifles. In the movie you can briefly see a glimpse of the digital manual at the end in the Valiant.

I love this kit and I love the first movie in the Hathaway’s Flash trilogy. I’m happy I bought the double pack because it came with water slides and action bases for both Xi and Penelope.

Absolutely criminal that they didnt include an action base with it when they've done it with other recent and cheaper HGs like the baund doc
