Ankylosing Spondylitis or Spondyloarthritis?

AS or SpA?

Ever wondered why some of the words we use in Rheumatology are so hard to say? We have!

Rheumatic diseases can be tricky.. and not just in terms of how we pronounce some of the terms. Some of the conditions we see have long confusing names and can sometimes be used interchangeably.

This was such a simple to understand explanation. Thank you! I was just diagnosed with seronegative spondyloarthropathy. I am HLA-B27 positive. SI joints looked ok. The rest of my lower back and hip is not. But anyhow, thanks again!
