The classical aneng AN8002 is quite old now. Some new versions are avalaible on the market, with few changes. Look the video and see what it is.

Hey Alex..Great review 👍 Those Aneng's are somehow classics in the CHEAP-O multimeter realm! Their unique style and ridiculously small fuses definitely set a precedent. Personally I have a love/hate relationship with them. Love the compactness and rugged looks but I'm still aghast at those tiny fuses and the tilt stand from hell! I wish they incorporated a magnetic backing as well ! Still..lots of value here. Btw love your custom fuse assembly. Great job !

I have an "older" pair of Aneng meters which have no side fuse holder or the test ports on the right side on the case, so you've got a better set there. The ones I own are are red. A cursory look at other sites shows either the similar or possibly identical units sold under other brand names. Of course I have a pair of them so as to measure voltage and amperage simultaneously. Checking both units against two seperate tertiary voltage standards, I find no significant statistical difference, both units are still in specifications. While I do own a Fluke V, the Anengs are my everyday use meters. While they are small in size, the displays are easy to read, and they would be very easy to transport, though mine (mostly) reside on a bench. Keeping in mind that I almost exclusively use these for low voltage, and considering their low price point, I doubt that it would be economically feasible to replace fuses in these units should they fail. I think that they offer very good value for the price point, and I wish that I would have when I was starting to learn about electronics and radio now over half a Century ago. (Where does the time go?) With test equipment in general, and especially with such expensive units as the Fluke V, I don't leave batteries in them when they are not in everyday use, and we all learn about corrosion "the hard way" when it comes to test equipment, once. Writing the date of opening on batteries with a "sharpie" marker (I prefer the "Bic" retractable fine point one.) and storing them WITH the meters, but NOT INSIDE the meters in a small seperate plastic snack size "zip lock" bag seems to work best. At least for my use. All the Best! 73 DE W8LV BILL

Did you find any way to Calibrate/Adjust the Voltage in this meter?

Hi Alex, can you please share us where you bought the new AN8002 because I contacted several sellers and none of them could tell me if they sell the new AN8002

Hi,good content! May I ask if you use it to measure small microamps, like around 2ua, will it automatically change to microamps range and how many digits do you get behind zero, for example, 2.02 or 2.0 ua? many thanks!
