Nice review, very comprehensive. As for the lace issue. I started skating around 95 or 96. And in the late 90's threw the mid 2000's Gillie lace systems, internal lace loops, and rubber lace loops were everywhere. More shoes with them than without them. It seemed. Before that it was metal eyelets, and regular lace set ups mostly. But ever since skate shoes went super low tech back in the 2010's ya know, Vulc soles, single piece toe caps, and regular lacing. Seemed to be a fad for 10-15 years or so. Everyone complaining about breaking laces(Wich is a bummer) but the shoe companies just kept putting them out like there was no solution. The solution already existed and worked well. I guess they were just feeding the fad. But I'm a cup sole guy(I like a Vulc too) they both have their strong points. It's matter of what works better for you. But for that 10-15 year stretch good tech heavy cup soles almost became hard to find. And lace savers seemed non existent. I think there is plenty of room in the market for low tech Vulc shoes, hi tech cup soles and everything in between. I wanna be able to go cup with rubber lace loops one day and simple Vulc the next. They both serve a purpose. Great review. I look forward to more. Keep skating brotha!

I love the aesthetic of these shoes, and the lace protection is awesome, and they are actually kinda durable for a vulc shoe, but they are way to thin for me to skate, don’t typically like Vulc shoes and I could not get used to these
