Y’all where did she say she entered the relationship wanting to fix him? Most the time, it’s that you don’t realize there’s a problem until you’ve tried being in a relationship with that person. Then you’ve grown familiar with them so it’s hard to leave because you think they are capable of being better. The thing is the other person has to want to change too. They are not incapable but most times in this situation they choose to not change so it’s irrelevant that they could’ve been possible of change.

Whats with the sexist comments? Men can change, just like any other human being on earth.

That doesn't mean every man is going to change exactly the way that you want them to. And the same goes for women and all genders.

If you want someone to change, have a calm, honest conversation with them. Don't try to guilt or force them into changing. Just communicate why change is important and discuss ways to help support each other through that change.

If you're partner decides they absolutely do not want to make that change under any circumstance, then it is your responsibility to yourself to decide if you can live with them the way they are or leave.

Communicate with your partner the way you want them to communicate with you. It's not about gender. It's about respect and being an adult.

This is something I sat on for a while. Fatou is stunning and super talented. I love her and the positive representation. I just can't ignore the featurism aspect of it. Her features are not super far off from the beauty standards over there. I'm American, and in my culture, her "smaller" features are coveted. I wonder if we'll ever have more diverse K-pop idols with a variety of skintones and features. No hate to her. I just want more for us.
