For what? Because of the tragedies? Statistically your child is extremely unlikely to be affected by this. What is guaranteed to affect them is a lack of socialization in school, coupled with a lack of the diverse knowledge of educators (whom are all qualified individuals). Would you rather let your child be sure to be maladjusted, undereducated, and sheltered in general, or have very very very low odds of something tragic happening with the assurance you'd avoid all those pitfalls. Unless you're a stay at home scholar with the all the combined knowledge of their potential educators and experience teaching to boot, I wouldn't even begin to consider such a thing.
