I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in joy and were suddenly at peace. ☺️

_In 1976, Steven Spielberg called John Williams and asked him if he’d ever heard of George Lucas. Williams said no. Spielberg told him that he had convinced his friend, Lucas, to meet Williams to work on the score for his ambitious little space movie. Lucas, Spielberg said, wanted to use preexisting classical music._

_Williams agreed to meet Lucas and convinced him to go with original music, based on previous works, with “newly created themes that could be manipulated and developed to best serve the drama.”_

_When Williams set to work scoring the film in January, 1977, Lucas gave him latitude, and the pair worked well together. For what was to be a very reflective scene in the film, where the protagonist, Luke Skywalker, gazes to the horizon where two suns set on his far away planet, Tatooine, Williams originally planned to use his hero theme. Lucas interjected, however, suggesting the “Force Theme.”_

_The scene, labeled, “Binary Sunset, ” with its masterfully intertwined imagery and music, would eventually become iconic—not only for what became a decades-long movie franchise, but also in the worlds of music, popular culture, and cinema._

In 1976, neither Steven Spielberg, John Williams, nor George Lucas could have predicted that 45 years later, a theme from a space fantasy—set in a galaxy far, far away—would land here, on earth, in a stairwell, being sung so hauntingly by a siren.

This theme gives me a feeling I can't describe. It's sad, inspiring, and gives you a strange feeling of nostalgia at the same time.

It sounded otherworldly when you hit the high note in Binary Sunset in the high octave. Like...inhuman.

I love it.

“This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder to any surviving Jedi. Trust in the Force. Do not return to the temple; that time has passed, and our future is uncertain. We will each be challenged; our trust, our faith, our friendships. But we must persevere. And in time, a new hope will emerge. May the Force be with you. Always.”

On another note you remind me of The Daughter. In The Clone Wars, she’s the physical embodiment of the Light Side of the Force

When I first heard this tune, I couldn't have imagined that I'd be sitting on a bench one day, listening to a haunting acapella version and wondering where 45 years had gone.
Beautiful.

If I was taking the stairs and heard this. I'd stop and sit down. No way could I interrupt such a beautiful rendition. Very haunting. Very well done.

"i'm not crying, I'm not crying"...Wow...That was beautiful....I am one of the many who stood in line in 1977 to see this movie, and you just made me feel like a kid again, experiencing something for the first time. That was wonderful. You sing beautifully and I pray you get your dream to sing for the out the there, send this video to anyone involved with "The Mandalorian". Let's make it happen for her.
