Without doubt, Vernon Baker was a very brave man.
Thrown into battle, especially at a time when black men were thought of as expendable, he went way above .
Take a step back though, and i mean this without any disrespect at all.
Every government, right or wrong, throws fathers, sons and brothers, against other fathers, sons and brothers, for political bollocks.
My German grandfather had three brothers, all educated and didn't want to fight at all, but they were forced into it.
Two were killed very quickly in a place no one remembers. Just statistics.
The third brother was married to a Jewish woman and they commited suicide.
And this shit still goes on.
In Gaza and in the Ukraine.
We're sacrificing people each and every day for what?
My god is better than your god?
I like your particular piece of land?
