Glad you like it, Autotac. I'm not the biggest Benchmade fan in the world, but there are several for me... and their customer service absolutely ROCKS!!!

Looks great, Rob!...They did a nice job of picking out a new blade for you. Mine came in last week. I ended up getting the 940 BK...Really like the green and black! Have you ever had a 707? I really like that one too. A bit smaller, but smooth as butter!

Thanks, biguy. I was just sick when I trashed the blade on this one 1 day after I got it. The boys in Oregon were very accomodating to fix it up for me :)

Swwweeeet!!! That is an awesome color combination! I am familiar with the 707 Sequel -- sort of the baby sister of the 710. Great little comact knife. I've never had one, but I'm sure they're great, given the materials and construction. But since it's relatively the same size and weight as the 940, it's probably not on my list. Thanks for checking in, my friend :)

Good luck with that one, Randall. Benchmade's customer service department, from my experience, is top notch. They do have policies, some of which we don't like, but they have their reasons. I will say that when operating within the framework of those policies, they give awesome service for the money they charge. In the case of my 940, I asked them to hand pick a blade with certain characteristics, and they came through big time!

Thanks, KnifeGuy! It's a little better now... I spent a few hours with it on the bench... Nice and sharp, and opens like melted butter :)

I'm pretty happy with the etching. I'm sure I wouldn't want it on every knife, but the 940 is definitely a keeper, and it's pretty nice to have one with a personal touch that makes it "mine, " other than the cut it gave me last night :)

Looks good... glad you got it back in such primo shape! Laser etching is sweet. I have a good friend who also does laser etching on blades and have considered getting a knife or two etched. :) Looks good!

I don't dislike the Emerson style clip in general. Quite the contrary. I especially like it when parkerized or satin finished. But on the 940, it just overpowers the handle scales. The split arrow is leaner, which reveals more of that gorgeous sculped aluminum handle, and its design flows with the rest of the knife, in my opinion. But that's why they make more than one :)

Hey rob, great video! Just wanted to let you know that your address is visible in the video, just in case you weren’t aware and would rather not be showing it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Lawdawg. In this case, though, that address is already pretty public. It's my place of business for my day job, and the shipping address I use for my sharpening customers, so many YouTubers already have it. Although my home address isn't really hard to find if you're looking, I am pretty careful not to reveal it on YouTube. I appreciate you watching my back :)

Is that the box that you sent the knife to them in? I shipped mine in a very small box do they repackage it?
