A big component that goes along with grit is that of deliberate practice. Without it grit ends up being applied in less than effective ways.

One of my favorite sayings for wrestling was, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard!" I KNOW this to be true! Also, loved the way you ended this video..."Think of something you have achieved or learned lately.." Light bulb moment for me! I taught myself to play the penny whistle after brain surgery (tumor) to help exercise all areas of the brain, as music is the one activity I am aware of that is is a whole brain activity. ~ Deana
