Not sure how I missed this, Jack! Thanks for taking the time! Never actually owned DB. My ex was the official owner. Never had the chance to purchase it after the breakup. That's why I started Badger. And I've stoked with how it's progressing!

Had my Diamondback rig for 7 years and used it every day. Broken in but not worn out and I fully expect to retire in it. Bought a Badger belt and suspenders for my old Occidental bags about a year ago so i could keep a loaded rig with me for side jobs and service work. The quality on both is next level. I don't understand how anyone spends good money on a traditional style rig anymore when we have 2 great companies making hardwork more comfortable through innovation.

The LH bag on the original carpenter's set has pouches and slots on that LH side, same as the trim sets. There's a two tiered slot on the back that will happily hold a combo square and another bar, or a torpedo level. We will soon offer that set to retail as well.

I have 2 occidental and they are retired but fun to look at. I have 2 DB and while the Grrande is great they are hung up. I am wearing the 702 for steel beam layout and metal shop stuff but I have e 2 badgers both made by Joel and they are my absolute favorite bags. They go to Al the jobs and are still looking New

I’m trying to get a custom Badger set myself. They just look comfy af as far as carpenters bags / tool belts can be. I’m trying to get a ceiling guy specific rig. I only emailed Joel Thursday and got a reply. I told him everything I wanted and hopefully he gets back to me. Man a Badger Belt set would be so ideal.

What I don’t like about that lay out is the tape measure at the top appears to force the entire setup to hang lower for that one tool. Maybe it’s not an issue but that’s my initial thoughts.

was up for new bags start of the year and really wanted a set of badgers but couldnt do the wait time so went for DB. so gutted i didnt wait a few more months cant justify buying two of the most spendy belts on the market withen a year

Like the look of that left side bag for the more open main pocket, having the ability to stuff your hand in it is great in my opinion. Diamondback hasn't got that in my mind, barring the Ox of course. Or is the Wrangell 2.0 comparable?
