I was also impressed that in the replays, Team Canada's reaction (especially Meagan Duhamel) to Mirai Nagasu landing the triple axel was a thing of beauty to watch. This is why that no matter what country you're from, supporting skaters from other countries is what brings everyone together, especially for the Olympic Games.

One of my favourite performances in whole figure skating history. What an amanzing moment. Great Mirai! I love that her opening triple axel was perfectly in connection with the crescendo of the music, like a suspense effect before her landing. Wow, she can be proud of herself for all her life!

What's amazing about her is that she learned the triple axel after her adolescent body changes and succeeded in it. There must have been many difficulties along the way, but her efforts did not betray her.

Tremendous accomplishment off Marai Nagasu, there is no doubt about that. But I just can't stand the title of the video... history isnt only made by the USA. She made American history. Will the first female Canadian, Italian or Belgian skater who lands a 3A receive the same recognition???
