Με μία είδηση, που για πολλούς αποτέλεσε έκπληξη, ενώ εμείς είχαμε πει εξαρχής, ότι εφόσον ειπώθηκε από την Αμερικανίδα υφυπουργό Εξωτερικών κα Νούλαντ, που ξανά επισημαίνουμε, ότι πιστεύουμε πως παίζει πάρα πολύ σημαντικό ρόλο, στις αποφάσεις που λαμβάνει η κυβέρνηση των ΗΠΑ, τα Ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, αναφέρθηκαν στο ζήτημα της αγοράς νέων Αμερικανικών μαχητικών αεροσκαφών F-16, από την Τουρκία, καθώς Αμερικανοί αξιωματούχοι, μιλώντας στη Wall Street Journal, είπαν ότι η Αμερικανική κυβέρνηση, ζήτησε από τους επικεφαλής του Κογκρέσου, να εγκρίνουν την πώληση τους, αψηφώντας όλα όσα παράνομα πράττει η Τουρκία και με ότι αυτό φυσικά σημαίνει για την ασφάλεια της Ελλάδας και τη σταθερότητα στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο, αφού άμεσα η Τουρκική πλευρά, με αυτή την αναβάθμιση στην πολεμική της αεροπορία, θα αποκτήσει ένα πολύ μεγάλο πλεονέκτημα, έναντι των γειτονικών της χωρών.
Σε αυτό το σημείο, αξίζει να υπενθυμίσουμε για άλλη μία φορά, ότι η Τουρκία πραγματοποιεί στρατιωτικές επιχειρήσεις στη βόρεια Συρία και στο βόρειο Ιράκ, ενώ ταυτόχρονα διατηρεί στρατιωτικές δυνάμεις σε περιοχές όπως η Λιβύη.
Η αλήθεια είναι ότι η σημερινή είδηση έχει προκαλέσει μεγάλη αναταραχή στους Έλληνες πολίτες, και έχει ξυπνήσει και αντιαμερικανικά αισθήματα, από όσο τουλάχιστον παρατηρήσαμε στα social media.

With news that surprised many, while we, had said from the beginning, that after it was said by the US Secretary of State Mrs. Nuland, that we reiterate that we believe that she plays a very important role in the decisions taken by the US government, the Greek media have reported on the purchase of new US F-16 fighter jets from Turkey, with US officials telling the Wall Street Journal that the US government has asked the leaders of the Congress to approve their sale, defying everything that Turkey is doing illegally and with what this of course means for the security of Greece and the stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, since immediately the Turkish side, with this upgrade to its air force, it will gain a very large advantage over its neighboring countries.
At this point, it is worth recalling once again that Turkey is conducting military operations in northern Syria and northern Iraq, while maintaining military forces in areas such as Libya.
The truth is that today's news has caused great unrest among Greek citizens, and has aroused anti-US feelings, from what we at least observed on social media.

Όσο εμείς "ξεβρακωνουμε" τα νησιά μας, οι απέναντι εξοπλίζονται. Υπάρχει άνθρωπος που πιστεύει ότι ο κουλης δε μας πούλησε στα μεμετια κι απλώς κάνει λάθος εκτίμηση;; Το ξανά ψηφίζει κανείς αυτό το τομάρι;;;;

You have it all wrong! This is old news. The Turkish reporter of the WSJ referred to the content of the meeting of the the US FM in Congress that took place couple weeks ago and recommended for military assistance to Turkey and India.
This is nothing new. It's a well known fact that the State Department is biased toward Turkey BUT, is the US Congress that determines whether the deal can go through or not and here you have the "Menendez Wall" to overcome.
A recommendation is not a defacto deal for the Turks since there are a myriad of issues to overcome from their end if this is to be allowed to be given the green light by the Congress.!
Th timing of all these is an attempt by the Turks to undermine the importance of Mitsokakis visit to Washington where he is to meet with the US President and give a speech at the US Congress hilighting the importance of Greece in the area and denouncing the agressive role of Turkey in the Aegean and Eastern Med, including her dubious role ln NATO . It's a well known fact that Turkey is "sleeping with the enemy" and is not to be trusted!!! Additionaly the reports indicate that the F-35 deal will be on the table for discussion.
