A couple of other points to measure. Your under cup, from your nipple to where your bra band sits. Since breast are different in shapes and size, you might not sit comfortably in the cup for say a halter top style. Commercial patterns use a 3.5 inch measurement in their patterns. Also take a sit down measurement of your hips. To be blunt (and personal experience) fat spreads. Your sit down measurement might be more than the 1 inch ease that a pattern calls for. Another place to measure so that the back will fit more comfortably is across the back, right under the arm pit. Think of where your side seam would be and measure from side to side. These are some of my adjustments that I have to make as being a plus size person,

I've always had trouble with what people took as the hipline because and I didn't know if (you create an imagined curve between the two widest points and take that- I have that dip at the hip joint ) OR it'd be your upper hips and belly/abdomen OR lower hips including butt. Thank you!

Good tip with the mirror! I've had to do without a full length mirror for several years, so that's a habit I never picked up... I should remember to do that next time. :-)

As a longer-torsoed larger-busted woman, I frequently use my back length and / or side seam length in addition to these - it's a usual alteration I have to make for patterns, and measuring just over the bust would not be enough to ensure a good fit. I usually have to do a full bust adjustment.
Oh, and bicep and wrist/hand circumference, for sleeves!
