She's okay, perhaps a throwback to 2010s Barbie Style Midge. I'm surprised she has the smaller head and removable earrings. I'm tired of Mattel releasing redhead dolls and imposing exclusivity onto them to make people want them more. People fawned over the redhead holiday dolls and now we're here. The idea of a chase Barbie gives me the ick. It reminds me of when they released the Barbie Extra multi-pack and put one new exclusive doll in it with a bunch of old ones.

Back in the day, I wasn't a fan of Midge... I never liked any of the sculps she used. Even when she used the steffie mold. I remember when the Top Model Resort Barbie days, I almost entertained the idea of getting her. But nop.. No Midge Barbie for me. Fast forward to these days, I only buy a few (very few) Barbies, Odile Barbie is starting to become a favorite of mine, and looking at this BMidge, she is kinda giving me nostalgia and a good value/relationship. And as you pointed out, no pixelated eyes are a plus. While The rare find aspect of this doll is great for sparking interest among collectors, I find this really sad when we consider how the scalpers get the majority of limited collector dolls. She’s not available in Canada. Sadly it is bringing out the worst in human nature: people are buying multiples of the doll instead of leaving one for others. Artificially created FOMO. I would like her because she’s not expensive but I live in Canada. It reminds me of the Stanley cup craze.

My sister found them in Honolulu today, 4 at one Target and 2 at another. They just came in. She is sending it to me. I am looking forward to having her. I really like her face.

She is cute. But I no longer try for mattel dolls that are rare, limited, hard to find etc. So if mattel is going in the direction of "chase" rare, hard to find playline dolls...Im out. It's not fun to me to have to "hunt" for dolls like this. Its not fun to "fight" with resellers/scalpers. I hope those that want her get her at MSRP from the stores. Im glad dolls are coming out, Im just not gonna stress over the hard to find ones. Thank you for covering this doll and providing insight. It was a heads up for me to not get excited due to its rarity. 😊

I’m a huge Midge fan & am really hoping to find her at retail. But after chasing around to multiple Target stores that showed one or 2 in stock, they mysteriously couldn’t be located anywhere once I arrived minutes after being at the previous store location. Searching the DPCI doesn’t seem to work on the App or the online store. You have to be in the store& have an employee check. It’s been a frustrating experience honestly.

For real, though, I do hope Mattel continues to go that route in the playline Barbies. I also hope Mattel makes an MTM body with Barbie's TNT body (and MTM Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea). I also hope the company uses the Odille sculpt as Malibu's new default setting

Don't use the promo pics of LITDH dolls, they're basically prototypes. 😅 Also haven't found a review with actual side by side face comparison. 😕

I would like her, but no biggie if I don't. I have the Rewind doll, with same Steffie mold. But she's not as pretty as the Deluxe Rare Find.

I would very much like this variant but so far no luck. I do hope it's a soft launch and they end up producing enough for everyone who wants one. My only concern is that it feeds into reseller culture. We have had enough of that in the doll community and Barbie possibly joining the rarity release is not a good thing .
