Considering that Kinger's initially bizzare interest for insect collections in episode 1 was later elaborated as a trait passed down by his lover, I wouldn't be surprised if Gangle actually desired to be a manga artist in life before having to reject the dream for a low-wage job. The drawings in her notebook may indeed be manga sketches.

I love how Jax's first reaction to when gangle starts doing creepy shit was "wait no one can see this right?".

Its such a small detail but it really shows how much he cares about trying to keep up his persona. So much so that his first reaction to being put in a vulnerable position was ask to make sure no one is gonna find out.

Him and Ragatha have alot of cool moments like these in this episode. It makes me so genuinely excited for when they get their own episodes. (Which i think is soon actually. I read somewhere that episode 5 is gonna focus on Ragatha and 6 is gonna focus on Jax. Hope thats true)
