Am I correct in assuming all the models are manufactured in China, or just some of the models? The Sigma website doesn't state where they are manufactured (or at least I couldn't find that info), but on YouTube I watched a video of a guy in the UK who has four recent Sigmas, all made in China. They seem like good guitars, just want to know where they're all made.

Only if you have the real Martin or Gibson to compare do you really hear the difference in quality. Sold my Gibson Hummingbird and bought a Sigma D-18+. Pocketed about 2000 usd

Is it an insider joke that a German who got the rights to the name Sigma is not allowed to use that name in the US and calls his decoy company 'AMI'?
("Ami" is a short version of "Amerikaner" in German and is kind of the nicer equivalent to the word "Kraut" used by Americans)
