I have a 981 Boxster S and I must say this 718 Boxster S won't have the same enjoyment and driving pleasure as the 3.4L flat six in the 981 Boxster S. Yes, engine downsizing to 2.5L turbo 4 reduces fuel consumption, increased HP and torque, but the sheer joy of driving a flat six naturally aspirated engine can't be quantified with numbers. The sound, the linear response, and the engine dynamics across mid to high RPM range will surely be missed.

There is nothing wrong with turbocharged four cylinder Porsches (924 turbo, 944 turbo, 944 turbo S, 968 turbo S). Had a 944 turbo S back in 1991. I just need to get used to the idea of four cylinder Porsches again because there hasn't been one in over 20 years (1995).

Dear Porsche, your 4 cylinder exhaust sounds awful.
Please power up the sophisticated, understated, boxster and cayman models (987 and 981), not downgrade them!
As a Porsche owner for the past 30 years, I am utterly disappointed.
