I rescue old pairs of converse that people plan on getting rid off or throwing out so they don't go to waste, later in life I'm going to open my own business where I repair and clean Converse shoes to make them brand new again. Don't get rid of these because I'd love to give them new life and make them last longer!

Wilt (and approx. 90% of old skool NBA) wore the older version of Chucks that had thicker rubbery soles (presumably with some bounce), higher quality canvas, stretchy cotton laces and non-skid outsoles. The closest that we have now would be Chuck 70s.

For Converse they advertise the Run Star Motion Platform as their basketball shoe, but if you want that classic look go with the regular Chuck 70 it’s wayy more premium compared to a regular Chuck Taylor all star
