The race for the next UK PM has intensified. Former British finance minister Rishi Sunak tops the first round of voting as he received 88 votes. But the Indian-origin leader is confident that he has it in him to go the distance. Only six lawmakers are left in the race to lead the Conservative Party. Further rounds of voting will take place until just two candidates remain. The last two contenders will face a runoff vote by about 180,000 Conservative Party members. The winner is scheduled to be announced on September 5.
