Even a dirt cheap camera is better than not having one. I had an issue where a lady swiped the front of my car while darting for a parking spot without an indicator on. But because I didn't have any evidence showing she didn't have her indicator on, I was considered at fault by my insurance. I could have requested traffic cam footage, but I would have to file a police report, and I couldn't risk them giving me a retroactive citation. Bought a $75 Rove the same day for both my cars.
