Initramfs Tuning

An initramfs image plays a critical role in system performance: it's extracted and run every boot it's regenerated when core system files or kernel modules are updated, with file data duplicated

These characteristics make it a ripe target for optimization. This talk will explore a number of methods available to speed up initramfs creation and extraction.
