God, great video but the annoying music doesn’t let me watch it to the end 😩

Why do always these type of videos have that happy-go-lucky type of music? I know I'm nitpicking but come on... Great video though :P

Now GitHub also supports unlimited private repositories. All thanks to Microsoft.

Great video! Love the way animations help understand the difference and the concepts :D

I think this video misses some important things about what the opensourceness of Gitlab implies.
- First, it can be good for open source project hosting, because being fully open source is really cool, plus it centralizes most of your project management tools so it is really cool for exposing your project's advancements and decisions along with your project.
- Second, and not least, open source is a guarantee that you won't have to change tool even if you somehow have to move out of the platform. This kind of move can happen more often than we may expect, as for example a change in laws of your country can make the project unsuitable for platforms to host. With Github you have to adapt to a new tool, with Gitlab you can simply self host.

Hi buddy what software do you use for making the video (the cartoons and kind of things)?

Neither one is free huh? That's weird. Charging for private repositories. That's creepy. But it was never open source because it charges.

How about which one has more users checking code for security/privacy problems? Shocking how hard it is to find any info on this? It seems most devs are unaware of the massive amounts of security breaches, the massive number of foreign and domestic government devs "helping", and assume "someone" is checking the code? Or is there there a prominent area all the devs that "vetted" a given apps code is shown that I missed?

A video explaining how a laymen (non coder) could best- ensure downloading a safe app would be WONDERFUL. Beyond the devs are smart right? They aren't assuming checksum and "others are must be vetting code", means it's "clean" do they?
