Today I'm sharing with you another video in this new series I'm creating on my channel: messy to minimal / messy to minimalist. I am documenting the transformation I am planning on taking into our home. I really want to declutter, be more intentional with the things we bring into our home and create some organisational systems so that I don't feel overwhelmed with household chores, especially as a mom of 2 (soon). In this video I'm doing an extreme declutter of kids toys, arts and crafts - in our little playroom area in the living room.

I've found my four kids ages 4-9 pretty much gravitate toward playdo (simple homemade with a few tools that fit into a shoe box size bin), water colors (again a small bin) and drawing. We keep the drawing implements on our school table. Its helped me to let go of so much of the crafty stuff. If they see a fun kit or something, we can buy it and enjoy it, but other than that, I don't keep much on hand. I have 3 boys, so its a little easier to be minimal with the crafty stuff.

Tbh, it kind of feels like I just watched myself cleaning my kids’ current toys/room situation, but in 3rd person. This video is probably more of a tidying and cleaning video of an existing mess, rather than a transition to minimal. Regardless, it was great and is still very helpful to see how other parents deal with this many toys and their system to manage them.
