Budget 2024 Update | In her seventh Budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced significant tax changes for the 2024-25 fiscal year. The government will withdraw the 2% equalisation levy, providing relief to businesses. The standard deduction for salaried employees will be increased from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 under the new income tax regime in FY25. Furthermore, the deduction limit for employers’ contributions to the National Pension System (NPS) will be raised from 10% to 14%, offering enhanced benefits for employees. These measures aim to simplify the tax structure and provide greater financial relief to taxpayers.

10 to 14 percent 😢, so that they can put that extra money from nps into sbi mutual fund, which will park money in "safe" adani stocks. Don't worry, government is worried about social security of employees. If they will have money, then anybody can harm them, if they give money to sbi, it will put in adani stocks, no money will be left, no security will be required. That's the real boss level social security, waah modiji waah. If anyone can earn money with sweat and blood, then they can also take care of their future as well, why is government over-eager to help employees, if it really wants to help then it should help in getting better Healthcare, not by snatching money and giving it to crooks.

The money that ministers receive is paid as salary or honorarium. If it's salary then why they are not tested at the time of appointment? And if they are honorable then why are they paid even after their work is done? Why it's not working with any competitive exam pass employees
