It looks to me like Mahomes also had other open receivers on this play so he didn't have to go for the TD on 1st down. He had a much easier short throw on the left side of the field that would have gotten him first down. Just seems like heads you lose, tails you lose against Mahomes, Andy Reid and Travis Kelce.

Definitely NOT the greatest TE of all time.
Gronk could do everything just as well as a receiver and also blocked like a beast tackle.
Kelce is the classic move TE, doesn't block much and is often used like a big slot WR.

Seems like every year since he turned 30, the "gurus" have kept on calling "the top" for Kelce. Last year, he was playing hurt & the Chiefs' offense was the worst it's been since Mahomes became QB.
So, what happens now???
The offense is beyond STACKED & Kelce just came off his BEST postseason
With Worthy & Brown, Rice + JuJu, who in the hell is gonna cover Kelce? 😂
Kelce can easily have his highest TD season.
