Cocoa tip: Mix the milk into the Cocoa, not the Cocoa into the milk. Mix a tablespoon into cocoa until it is all mixed and dampened, then add the rest of the milk in a slow pour.

My easier keto frosty recipe:
2 oz heavy cream
2 tbsp sugar free choc syrup
About 1/4 cup almond milk
4-6 ice cubes
Blend!
(Add 1 tbsp peanut butter for an even more delicious treat)

FYI: You can substitute large-grain salts for Ice Cream Salt such as: Kosher Salt Rock Salt. Table salt does not have the same coarse texture and should not be used as a substitute for Ice Cream Salt.

TIP: Mix cocoa into a small amount of cream/milk just to wet BEFORE adding to bowl of liquid... like making cocoa or chocolate milk in a cup.

I use to have an ice cream ball you added the ice cream salt, ice and the ingredients and kicked the ball around for 5-7 minutes and you’d have soft ice cream. I gave it to Goodwill when my kids grew up. I am going to try this recipe. Wish l still had the ball 🤣

Cocoa powder would mix easier and faster if you mix the cocoa, sweetener and just a few Tbsp of the milk. It will be thick. Then add the rest of the liquid and blend.

This recipe looks great! At a family reunion, we made ice cream with this method and had the kids play catch with the ziplock bag. It worked great and the kids had a blast!

I will definitely try this recipe, but instead of the whole rock salt and ice treatment, I'll just freeze it and process it through my Ninja Creami machine. The Creami can even make frozen applesauce into an incredibly creamy treat. Unfortunately applesauce is a no no on keto, but this . . . this would be perfect! Thanks for another great one, Mayra!

The best thing I ever drank was a small frosty blended with Nitro cold brew coffee. Using your base, I think I can recreate that experience for my husband by freezing the mixture in an ice cube tray before blending it with the coffee.

The other day, I took 3 tbsp of cacao and added half cup of organic grass fed whipping cream unwhipped and mixed it all up because I needed fat to fill my macros. Forgive the dairy for a moment (it did cause some bloating), but OMG it reminded me of the 1960s. The flavor was so good and reminded me of pure unadulterated ice cream of the 60s without sugar. Yummmm
