MAJOR Doll score at the estate sale - Barbie, 2000's dolls, vintage and more!

I am so excited to have had the opportunity to attend an incredible doll estate sale thanks to @CleoindeNile seeking it out!! We found so many incredible dolls from Barbie to Flavas to Madame Alexander and so much more. I'm used to just going to thrift stores/flea markets and stumbling upon things with no expectation so going to estate sale is a bit of a new frontier for me, this is my second one ever. These new dolls I've added to my collection will be forever loved and honored and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to bring them home!!

Nice fun haul. The doll by Marie Osmond is very cute. Marie has been a doll collector all her life encouraged by her late Mother Olive. I have lots of her artist L.Ed. dolls. I particularly like and have her Adora Belle doll line with the big cute eyes. Enjoy your new haul.

This just reminds me as a collector that I need to keep my dolls organized with a spreadsheet of inventory and values in case something happens to me. In my case my spouse will likely donate everything (over 300 dolls), but for anyone who has relatives who can and would like to go through the effort of selling, it makes it much easier on them.

The face grease is probably plasticiser leak! It’s really common in dolls and toys that are really well sealed in their plastic prisons cause the stuff that’s added to make the plastic squishy or flexible is naturally evaporating from the plastic, which is slightly unstable. Then it doesn’t have anywhere to go as the doll is sealed up so it leaves a greasy layer. Warm soapy water is probably the best thing to use to clean it off! It may return or it may just continue to evaporate so just keep an eye on her and give her some airflow. It’s especially common in older nendoroids that have sat in their boxes for years 😭

Omg I remember online I used to design the teen trends magazines! I never actually seen the dolls though! This is awesome! Also obsessed with those prince of Egypt dolls!

Tip next time: bring an IKEA bag with you. You should be able to fold it up in your Fannie pack in case you don’t need it but very helpful if you do!

That Cinderella is from the company Bikin (I think). They were pretty much the first company to do Barbie-style dolls of any Disney princesses if I remember correctly. They did Snow White and Cinderella for some sort of anniversary of their respective movies.

I was at this same sale!!! At one point I am in the same room as you! I did not even notice you filming… I was in the Doll Zone! The Twickenham Doll Club was HUGE in Huntsville years ago. They are shrinking now. This Estate Sale was the 4th this year that I have been to of late members of this club. So keep an eye on Huntsville Estate sales.

Omg, what a dream sale ! Even though most are not my style. Still just so awesome to see others collections. Makes me imagine what it will be like when someone has to have a sale of my dolls when I pass away. I dont have children, so won't hand them down to anyone I know.

Princess Leia is from the end of A New Hope when she gives the medals to Han and Luke. She has boots I think. She came in an oversized box. Love me some Star Wars and have her 😊
