Another awesome video. Looking forward to seeing your next trip. I am doing a 5 day, 4 night trip starting 8/30. Rae lakes loop over kearsarge pass. Never been to the Sierras other than Yosemite. Your videos are a big reason for me going on this trip to see personally the beauty of the Sierras.!!!

The scenery looked familiar and then I realized that I've been down that way before. If you're at all familiar with geocaching, California's oldest geocache is hidden in that area.

A beautiful area. Have hiked and ridden my bike around there many times. I like the closeup shots of the various things you run into out there. If you are anything like me, that is where the magic is often found. Hiking early in the morning is a good thing, isn't it? :-)

Thanks again! When I lived in Oceanside I discovered Mt. Laguna and Mt. Palomar for mountain hiking and camping. I 've been on the PCT up in Mt Laguna but not this trail. I'll have to think about getting up there and checking this trail out. I knew there was water, but have never seen it. I'm looking forward to cooler weather and, therefore, adventuring away from my beloved Big Bear and WRightwood hiking. We'll have to someday, accidentally, meet up for a hike or at least chat. We could never hike cuz I'm much slower than you. oh well Thanks again for the nice hike.

Best wishes as you have new enjoyed watching you on the Long Trail and the PCT segments....we however, will not be subscribed any longer....we need YouTube videos that inspire us to get out and hike or backpack....and we do have the Trans Catalina Trail booked with everything(airfare, helicopter, ferry, hotels, and campgrounds) booked for a time in October as well as doing a loop(Baker Lake- Johnson Lake) in Great Basin NP.

Loved the beauty of the trail. Looks like a trail for folks just starting hiking and don't want it to steep. Thanks for sharing your adventures! Hiker Steve

Dear Mike, thank you very much for your documentary video from the trail. Well done 👍. Please, do you need any permit to do this trail? Best wishes from Prague.

Your photography is always getting better....all great shots, must comment one that hit me was the little flock of birds flying low to the dry ground and disappearing behind the branches of a tree....then followed 2 masses of bright yellow fungus (?) on tree. Cheers
