Exploring Rhodes, Greece 🇬🇷

We spent more than a month in Greece. Athens was incredible (as were all of the Greek islands we visited), but Rhodes stood out.

The Medieval City was the perfect spot to wander around and explore on foot. The forests and inlands made for the best road trips. The small towns were like a dream.

And the best part? Hardly anyone else there this time of year.

There is so much more to this island beyond the typical tourist trails.

Here are some of the lesser known gems we loved:

🏰 Strolling around the Rhodes Old Town and find the hidden Suleman Mosque, a peaceful sanctuary away from the crowds.
🌿 Exploring the forests and inland roads in search of the Dama Dama deer
🍷 Visiting the local wineries and tasting local wines
🏛️ Getting lost in the quaint village of Lindos, with its white houses and artistic vibes
🐐 Trekking to the lighthouse at the southermost tip of the island and seeing all the wild mountain goats roaming freely (with a killer sunset)
🌊 Taking a polar plunge in the cold waters of Anthony Quinn Bay

Rhodes definitely left an imprint.
