It's a prediction and definitely not a correlation. He has fit selected historical events into a derived cyclical model of his own creation. That doesn't mean these events will perpetuate, let alone whether the cyclical model has any inherant reality. People LOVE their models, but they often (particularly historical/social theories) get us into all sorts of nonsense thinking.
