- Betrays the Separatists to bring Onderon to the Republic using actual terrorism because he thinks Dooku killed his mother (it was Padme telling Palpatine her name that sealed her fate)

- Stays with the Empire enjoying a life of luxury while his people suffer true oppression and apparently he doesn't bother to do shit about it

- Only joins the Rebellion because of a personal tragedy years into the conflict

Onderon is a pretty necessary moral victory for the Republic after invading a world whose natives didn't want them

Without the galaxy knowing, what Skywalker promoted for the rebels in Onderon would end up evolving into tactics that would end up becoming the basis for the Rebel Alliance.

Had Steela survived, the Partisans will be better off under her leadership when they engaged in insurgency against the Empire later on. After all, we all seen how much depressed Saw had become by the Age of the Empire when he was leading the Partisans.

And I forgot to talk about this the last time but anyone ever wondered how Senator Amidala felt when she came to realize that her investigation ultimately caused the Battle of Umbara? If she ever came to such a realization at all, of course. Either that or the Republic made Umbara angry by refusing them to demand compensation from Rodia. Or maybe, both?

P.S: If Baron Rush Clovis realized that he can simply refused to raise the interests on both the Republic and the Separatists alike but also allow no more loans to be given to both sides, I think the Battle of Scipio could have been avoided, he would not have died and Palpatine would have neither the completed control over the Banking Clan or the ability to print credits as much as he pleased to create the massive military-industrial complex of his future Empire.

The Campaign in Onderon is great. It's the most realistic depiction of great power war in Star Wars. It feels like a Cold War proxy war.
