I don't know about this one. As someone who understands how neural networks work on a mathematical level, it has always been, and always will be a heuristic. In other words it's the opposite of mathematical rigor. Something that is accurate 99% of the time (which it isn't right now, and maybe never will be), but incorrect 1% of the time is not mathematically rigorous. Imagine if mathematics said "I'm 99% sure 2 + 2 = 4", sure, such a heuristic might be useful and powerful, but not powerful enough to make a formalized system.

I used to be afraid of nightmares (being chased by demons, trapped in a haunted school, my home becomes haunted, etc) when I was young. However, up until recently, it is one of my top favorite type of dreams, solely because it is "exciting", like adrenaline rush type of thing, and I would wake up exhilarated. Idk why or how it became like that but its interesting anyway

Great, so ai is going to know us better than we know ourselves. It was always going to understand our behavioral patterns and probable future behaviors but dream analysis and our literature on the subconscious will eliminate any refuge of privacy.

The greatest scientific discoveries tend to be made by accident while experimenting with ancillary aspects. For example the human genome project’s decoding of human DNA was anticipated (practically assumed) to unravel every secret DNA has to offer… except when it was finally decoded it, the only definite conclusion that was reached is that there’s a whole lot more to genetic expression than DNA (ie: epigenetics).

I predict aspects of Monroe’s* work will be empirically substantiated as this AI journey continues, with furthering implications that the mind is non-local; therefore the applicable AI’s advancement merely open the door to another realm rather than reaching a destination on this centuries old conundrum.
