gotta give olga’s actress mad fucking props. her part in this was just as much of a choreographed dance as the lead’s was. it’s amazing to see how she makes herself look as if she’s being pulled and knocked around by an unseen force. so much skill 💕

God, every second I was just thinking, “Let it end! She’s suffered enough!”

Someone’s taking break dancing a little too literally.

Tbh the worst part about this is Olga’s cries of pain, and how she vomits and urinates herself because of how much pain she was in. The prosthetics, the acting, and the stunning choreography along with Thom Yorke’s instrumentals make this scene so hauntingly beautiful. A truly stunning film.

Edit: One thing I also noticed was how dull this remake is compared to the original, which is known for it’s bright colors. I thought that was an interesting change

The beauty of Susie’s dancing combined with the horror of what is happening to Olga is what makes this a wonderful and horrific scene in my opinion.

The part where she pees herself is the scariest part. Because she had no control over her body

This might be the only scene in the history of filmmaking that has made me physically cringe to the point of nearly feeling sick.

the editing is just jaw dropping. The amount of prep and planning needed for this one scene is astounding.

As a lifelong horror fan, I commend this scene for its balance of the beautiful and the grotesque

the craziest part is that this technically isn't Olga's death. she's still alive after all of this.

The scariest part is that she did not die, not until the end of the film.

This is one of the only movie scenes to have me physically cringe and gag, and I watch a lot of horror movies. So props to whoever was in charge of this abomination, it’s genuinely upsetting

What makes this scene even more impressive is the little amount of CGI used. Most of it was the actress' dance using contortion, while CGI was only used in her injuries and flashes of her distorted body. The suffering itself was just as amazingly choreographed as the dance.

When I saw this scene, all I could do was gasp at everything happening to Olga.
Credit to her actress for contorting her body in that way.

The fact that her body is being contorted in the most horrifying ways by a new successor is not only horrific, but also a fucking nightmare that your body is being controlled by the dancer at the same time

Just remembered this. Saw it with a friend late at night in a small cinema near his apartment. Around 60 or so people in the room. Dead silence bar the sounds of the scene. You could feel the tension like the air was leaning on you. Brilliant.

Fun fact: this scene was actually not scripted. Tilda Swinton just got into a heated argument with the actress who plays Olga and killed her on the spot.

This scene has stuck with me due to Olga's reactions. The way how she had to endure the slow twisting and breaking of her body was just so nasty. Her peeing made it worse because it just showed how greatly in pain she was. You could feel how she desperately wanted it to stop. What's even worse is that after all of that, she didn't even die. She had to feel those huge hooks pierce her body and get carried around with those.

(I guess Spoilers about the ending. It's gonna talk about what happens to those evil elder women.)

I wanted those older women to suffer so badly. The ending really disappointed me because those nasty bitches didn't suffer a slow agonizing death, which they supposedly rightfully deserve. Their death was just instant. I hated it.
