Star boy right there. I remember having an argument around 5-6 years ago with my work colleague. I told him Reece James is better than Trent. Trent was flying at the time, and Reece had just come back from his Wigan loan. My colleague at the time was laughing at me like I was crazy and had a screw loose. Happy for Reece that he has been named captain, but not sure its the right choice. The best players dont always make the best captains, and I feel he is just being rewarded because he came through the academy. The injuries and lack of availability are an ongoing concern, added to which he is simply too reserved and quiet to be an on field leader. Would have preferred Silva for the upcoming season with such a young squad. After that I think Enzo and Chilwell would have been better long term candidates than Reece.
