Hi! Good video I recently bought 1 pair of Saguaro and other pair of AKA, do you think is good idea to combine them? And if yes, should I put Saguaro in the rear and AKA at the front? What do you think? Thank you so much good video.

My Portugese LBS pronounces it sagooro. I use it mostly on pavement. It rolls fast and grips on sandy tarmac.

I’m looking at buying a pair of Victoria tires. I’ve been using panaracer driver 29’s but the tread doesn’t last long and the price I paid for them I expected them to last more than 6 months
great video review thanks

Thanks for your reviews.

My bike came with Geax AKA 26x2.0
PROS:
- Fast on asphalt and hardpack
- Strong sidewalls (have plenty of scuff marks from rocks without a single tear or puncture)
- Front tire still has plenty of tread after many miles
- Directional tread pattern (can be reversed on front and rear)
- Decent on grass

CONS:
- Very slippery when wet
- Pretty slow on gravel roads (loose over hard)
- Useless in sand and mud
- Centre blocks wore down quickly on rear
- Kind of heavy
- Small casing doesn't absorb much

I'm going to change my tires for this summer, going wider to a 2.25 or 2.35. Thinking about a Maxxis Larsen TT 60a rear and Crossmark 70a up front. Can't decide though, so many options and so much money. Will stay away from the fragile Schwalbe though.

Any suggestions for a versatile Cross country touring tire?

I have GEAX AKA 29x2.25 I feel great on sand, tarmac, gravel, stones and !DRY! roots. After some rain I need a lot of confidence in forest because the tire loose it's grip almost on every object. Also this tire have nice protection against punctures, in my oppinion. So, I'd say this is a great XC tire for hot summer, in rainy or muddy conditions it's better to have another tires!

I use the Saguaro on my bikes and I like them as a good all rounder. They don't often get flats either.

i have been using geax saguaro for past one year... actually i didn't even know there was a brand called geax or vittoria! this tires are came stock with my bianchi jab 29er bike. just by looking it....1st impression was this knobs are much bigger than I saw before! after riding, yeah it is true..this tires are extremely gripy...so much gripy. but interestingly when i was at the normal road or pavement kinda way sometimes it felt like i was driving a road smoother construction truck! because the constant vibration was so significant....maybe I noticed it because last time i was on a bontrager xr1 tyre which was not so knobby gave me better rolling speed but has average grip..but after riding on saguaro for 10 to 15 minutes the vibration felt like little to none because your body will completely adjust you to your ride. but this tires are also made with quality in check. cause when i unboxed my cycle for the 1st time wheel was completely true...i mean 100% true! so was the tire...you guys may be know about the tire bid sitting problem because how the manufacturer gave short time to build a bike...when you see after your 1st ride, that the outer line of the tire still sitted perfectly on the rim you must have to admit this tires are not your average tire! i would say this tires are build with much care than same level bontrager tyre. 8 out of 10...

Try the new Vittoria Gato 2 29x2.2 guys - it's the "wet weather XC race tyre" Vittoria say (but not frigile as they are 800g) G+ tech 4c compound tech it's superb = best all rounder British trail tyre! I race XC & normally use the Vittoria Barzo 2.25 which is bit lighter at 650g seems to be great dry or wet race tyre but of course at its best the dryer the course.
