I saw a Badfinger documentary Where Paul said he presented the song to the band and they wanted to change the arrangement-they hadn’t had a hit yet. He convinced them to use his arrangement. Can you imagine saying that to Paul McCartney at the height of his powers so to speak?

Great lesson. What an unusual chord sequence. Typical McCartney. I was lucky enough to see Badfinger several times during my university days at Cardiff and they were really good. It’s no wonder they caught the eye of the Apple group. Such a shame they ended in tragedy.

Written by Paul McCartney. His version is on Anthology 3. He played all the instruments on it. Some have speculated that it is a conscious or unconscious plea to John to not walk away from the Beatles, ala "Too Many People." Regardless, I think this a great song. Thanks for putting it to guitar.

That was another great McCartney song. I'm not sure where I hear Paul play the song on piano but it was great. Maybe on one of the Anthology CD's.. Not sure but it was a long tie ago... Great lesson tp bring back one of those oldies.. Thanks for uploading it JJ...

Fun Fact: This song was written by Paul McCartney and he recorded all the parts individually cuz it was when the beatles were starting to go their separate ways

The Badfinger version does sound closer to a piano Eflat.

I've always found that Fmaj7 to be an interesting choice for a song in E. Sounds very Beatles-y. Oh wait...
