What I find interesting is Jesus quoted from Buddha and Confucius as he walked the streets of Jerusalem. The World of China was vastly greater than Israel, as the( Wise men )came from the FAREAST to confirm a Son of Heaven.

Pompeo, secretary of state during Trump said 'in the CIA we are trained to cheat, steal and lie, but Xi Jinping teaches us 'serving the people' means prosperity for all, unlike the west. Krishna 11, 000 years ago preached the Sanatan religion: DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU EXPECT OTHERS TO DO UNTO YOU. Subsequent thinkers/prophets endorsed it, like Buddha, Jesus and Mohammad.

A wester religious philosopher Alan Watts presented three civilisational ways of thinking.

The one of the occident: Here the Universe is a construct, an artifect - some sort of machinery a artisanal god made

Then there is the Chinese way: the universe as an organism that happens by itself, which arises by itself throught the Dao, which is a concept that cannot be grasped by humans, but it is like a organism

There is also the indian way of conceiving the universe as a Drama by an ultimate Self (Brahman)

It might be educational for students to learn from mistakes made by the West so as to not repeat them.
One mistake is that of cultural imperialism; the other is the idea of "Go with the flow."

Regarding the second mistake: It might not be possible for one to successfully swim directly against a current. However, swimming at an angle could be an option. The point is that people have their own ideas -many of which are valuable. To stifle those ideas by going with the flow is an injustice to the individual and is also an injustice to the whole culture. If a culture is sick, it should be adjusted. So, please, don't go with the flow. Make your contribution -however small it might be. The collective efforts eventually amount to a great force -like drops of rain becoming a river.

Regarding cultural imperialism (something the West is rightfully accused of via attempts at evangelism and the spreading of "democracy" through regime-changes and terrorism).... Adopting the Western idea of "My way or the highway" is probably not suitable for adoption. Such an idea seems contradictory to what little I know about Chinese philosophy.
Please keep being beautiful and watch the world take notice. Maybe it will take another thousand years but it will happen.

Recently I discovered Chinese martial dramas and, as a result, Chinese music and traditional Chinese musical instruments. Although not a musician or actor, I've come to enjoy these very much. My respect for China has grown because of this.

Thank you for the broadcast.

All the best to you.
