Yeah. Dunno why but imagining the sort of big brother of the group witness another lost friend KILLS me inside.
Some creative thought process stuff here!:

I really wanted to play around with the idea that after Basil is at the point of no return, his mind and body are at a last ditch effort to leave him with a little bit of comfort before he passes. Obviously, things take a panicky turn after he fully realizes that he’s dying, desperately trying to be the Basil his friends knew, always smiling even when he was hurt or always looking to the bright side of things. He sees everyone, his friends, parents, grandma, Polly, then finally stranger. All of the abandonment, all of the people he’s scared to lose, a version of himself that seems to be lost.

He’s alone and he’s terrified.
And.. sadly, there’s no turning back.

That fucking switch from Basil saying he always bounces back with (terrifying, but still there) background music to him sitting on the floor in absolute silence save for the crickets outside, dead, as Sunny opens the door to find him like that. Now THAT is how you hurt your audience, jesus christ that made me tear up. Incredible job, I'm now going to lie down and let depression swallow me whole for a bit.

The cutoff on "BMO always bounces ba-" had me sobbing bro... Love the detail where his flower wilts depending on what's said to him, poor baby... This is fantastic though, made me tear up a bit, the juxtaposition between his optimism and his dead body one frame later was insane, and your art is wonderful <333

oh this was AGONIZING to watch, im absolutely in love with it. the way the petals in the flower fall, the moving from character to character on 'youre nothing but a little kid' im SO emotional. the cut off at the end is HAUNTING. something hovering by sunny also really gets me.
