my favorite thing about her Elphaba is the sheer rage she captures. she has this very very captivating/relatable righteous fury at times. Hannah Corneau (sp?) captured the vulnerability best for me but this performance really captures the way trauma causes rage in some individuals

It's basically impossible to pick a favorite Elphaba because they're all so fabulous and special...but if I *had* to pick one...it would absolutely be Willemijn. I had the immense privilege to see her on Broadway and she blew me away (and I've seen my fair share of Elphies). This is an absolutely stunning capture, thank you for posting it! <3

I saw Willemijn live back when she still played Elphaba in Germany; and her voice blew me away back then already. I also find it remarkable how she keeps acting and performing throughout the song. She just sells the role at every point.
And to think that by now she's played Elphaba in three different languages and four different countries... Nothing but respect for all other Elphabas, but Willemijn is #1

Also amazing: the caliber of performance Willemijn was able to give over a decade, in multiple languages. My goodness. Was lucky to see her lice many times in multiple locations--always stellar! (Even if my knowledge of the language in which she was performing was rudimentary at best--I got along fine in Germany but Scheveningen was another story lol)
