A household name in the ZA & pan African House Music market, DJ Bongz has not only received numerous local music accolades (including best Dance Compilation award at the 2012 Metro FM Awards) but is also the only South African DJ to sell double Platinum (90 000+) for his 2008 release "Survival of the Fittest (2008)" and "Soul Assertion Vol.1" in 2011.
He is also the recipient of a South African Music Award nomination for the best dance album "Survival of the Fittest".
DJ Bongz also has a strong international footprint particularly in the UK and Australia where he has been in demand since 2009. Bongz will also be performing in China this year at Club Rock Café, which is one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"Going Higher" is the first single selected off of his highly anticipated album "Mabala Noize".
