its looking amazing! looking forward to you combining this with a unique body mesh. hopefully the neck seams of the two can be combined and would look like one single mesh

Amazing. Now I have high hopes for my stylized characters to be used and look as faithful as possible to their designs with the MetaHumans. Thanks for sharing this!

HP Lovecraft the Tutorial :D Very helpful stuff.

I hope metahuman will have the feature to allow big eye shapes and big eyeballs for cartoony characters like from disney or pixar. That would be so cool!

Your tutorial helped me out so much! Thankyou! I then tried it with my “Pixar” character but due to large eyes it really messed up. I’m thinking maybe more fine tuning with other guides might help? If I maybe use the eye lower/upper wrinkle.

could you let me know which iphone model do you use? I tired it with my iphone XS, but it couldn't capture some details. for example, the lip motion of 'f' pronunciation etc. but in your case it works very well. so I'm curious what is your iphone model. thanks!

Will this solve/track on mesh faces of characters that are even more stylized than this? (Two eyes, nose and mouth but far from human in appearance) If not, what would be required to convert that mesh into a metahuman? (Trying to search for certain keyword characteristics for Unreal marketplace assets)

The mouth movement and eyebrows are dope. Eye rigging could use some work tho.

can you tell me how to reapply the base texture from the original mesh head to the new metahuman head please?

Can I just clarify. Are you using obj or fbx for the head? And is the head and eyes all one mesh?
I’m struggling with unreal to do this. I’ve got my character created in Zbrush, fully rigged in character creator 4 and just trying to get it animated as a vtuber in unreal. Or maybe even do what you do and take my mesh to metahuman which looks much cooler.

So much work and you can just use Headshot.

I think stylising them is better than trying to make them 100% realistic. It makes it look creepy when it’s “100% realistic”, compared to giving it some distance from realism

This is amazing! May I ask which facial mocap you are using?

This looks VERY uncanny; I don't like this sort of thing. PLEASE find a way to make it less creepy.
