Let's talk about and old and classy Survival Skill well explained by John "Lofty" Wiseman on his SAS Survival Book that can be useful if you need to find a direction and we don't have a compass or it's broken.
A good watch can be a game changer multifunctional tool .
I really enjoyed testi the Vaer C5 Tactical Solar Watch!

Another home run Mr. Alex, and the message hits deep. The older I get the more I can appreciate that time is not infinite. I'm 55. In 15 years I'll be 70, and we all know how fast 15 years can fly by.
Take care Mr. Alex and I look forward to the next video.

What’s the area you’re hiking? We recently moved to piedmont and have been looking for quiet highish elevation hiking spots. So far loving Pian del Re, but we want to try some new places too. Thanks!

👍👍great video, I havent worn a watch in years since the age of cell phones. I always liked the analog myself, just like paper maps for navigation. I really liked the short film, and your thoughts shared .

Thank you for the informative video. A beautiful watch that suits my taste perfectly. I think I need to take a closer look at VAER watches. Greetings from Germany

Thank you! Tell us about this backpack and when you use it, what do you take with you in this particular backpack? Is this Fjallraven Abisko Friluft?

The way i was taught.
Take military time and divide by 2 and point that time at the sun.(nothern hemisphere)
So if its 1400÷2= 0700
Point 0700 at the sun...12 points north.

I inherited a grandfather clock years ago and initially thought the ticking would bug me, it was the exact opposite. I could take a nap right next to it and the ticking had a calming effect, during waking hours at home the ticking motivates me to accomplish tasks…it’s a pleasant reminder that time is limited. Is it possible to use the moon with an analog watch for navigation? I’ve never been good at picking out constellations and even if it’s overcast finding the moon is much easier! Thanks for another great video and I hope whatever you decide to do with your time is rewarding!
