ZYXEL XGS1250-12 1/2.5/5/10G Switch - Unboxing - Specification & Features Overview
Показать описание
The XGS1250-12 is a multi-gigabit web-managed switch from ZYXEL. It has 12 ports: 8 x 100/1000M ports, 3 x 1/2.5/5/10G RJ45 ports and 1 x 1/10G Ethernet SFP+ cage. It has a simple web manegent interface where you can configure VLAN (802.1q VLAN and PVID), Static Link Aggregation, QoS (802.1p and Port-based), IGMP Snooping and Port Mirroring, etc
The switch is ideal for home network or SME network, where there is a need to connect devices with different link speed and connectors. For example, the 3 x Multi-Gigabit RJ45 switch ports can used to connect to an upstream router, or a high performance WiFi6 access point with the 2.5GbE port. The 1G/10G SFP+ port will be a great choice to connect to a NAS (network attached storage) or to extend the network via a Fiber cable.
XGS1250-12 is very solid with the metal casing. Even though it has a built-in fan which will automatically start when the temperature is high, the switch works silently most of the time. At the same time, it is energy-efficient and only consumes around 12W when all the ports are are fully occupied.
The XGS1250-12 is a web-managed switch, yet it is also plug-and-play. There is no need to configure anything in order to use it, except for changing the default password.
If you enjoy using open-source OS, I have a good news. The XGS1250-12 is supported by OpenWRT. All the functions are working fine, except for the SFP+ cage.
In this video, I am going to unbox the XGS1250-12 switch. After that, we will have a detailed overview of the ports, features and the web management interface walkthrough.
