Football has declined af even when we look back 10 years in the past. One of my first football seasons I have fully enjoyed was 2012-13 (exactly 10 years ago) and damn was it so much better. You had teams like Galatasaray, APOEL (11-12 season actually for APOEL) reach QuaterFinals of UCL and actually put up a fight against giants. You could see Manchester United (11-12 again) get grouped by Benfica and Basel, Chelsea (12-13, they won UCL 11-12) get grouped by Juve and Shaktar Donetsk.

And I have listened to countless stories my father told me how the Champions Cup (UCL until 1992-93) was so much more competitive. And damn, is he right. When only champions of each country could play the *champions* cup, you would get a lot of 'smaller teams' be competitive against giants. It was the time nobody was safe and everybody could be knocked out in any round. My father was the lucky one to see Red Star (team both of us support) lift the Champions Cup against all odds in 1990-91 season, but considering all the money grabbing done by UEFA I would consider myself lucky just to see Red Star make the knockout stages of UCL.

All of them don't play for football anymore.. They play for money. People with heart that are fighting on the battlefield for the sport are gone.

I think if there was a salary cap like most North American sports it would help fix this issue

I don't think, I know it has. Complete disconnect between clubs and fans now with prices going through the roof and no support in helping

Fans don't help themselves though as they'll pay stupid prices but I really miss when players gave a shit about the fans and club they play for

Looks horrendous tbh, really cheap and the bloody 8 is what constantly draws your eye. The blue on the shoulders looks awful

If football had stayed on terrestrial television then there wouldn't have been a huge injection of money and it wouldn't have escalated...

Yes. Money is totally ruining foobll. It has become a game for the rich. Leaving the lower clubs struggling. There should be a wage cap. Now the u.a.e. just throe money around like no tomorrow.
