Not sure if I am reading too much into it...but it really feels like he is willing to go back to SS but the front-office and/or coaching isn't aligned. Initially we were led to believe it was the opposite (X wanted to stay at second). He has proven he can play second base so not sure he needs more reps. Put him back at SS so we can deploy the best lineup possible.

Kim is out for awhile longer.Bogarts goes to short, Croney to second and Solano to first/DH.I think its a bettter line up anyway.

Players who are good at bat or offense need to play more. Defense can follow if they play more and their offense is already there. Playoffs are just around the corner and next thing you know Padres might or might not make it. Every game matters and Padres need to unite for the common goal and that is to win most games.

Bottom line I'd take Solanos bat in the lineup over Kim's glove. We have options at SS.Kim has just been a black hole in the line up. Boegarts only slightly better.

Not digging his vibe at all on the field, at the plate, or in the clubhouse but I hope he can turn it around soon.
