Making 71 429 torino headers fit my 68. Part 1

Found the same headers that used to be on my 68 torino . They fit 71-73 torino, mustang and cougars . The front sub frame rails on those cars are about 1'' wider than my 68. Or so I was told. Never measured the difference my self. Had to do a some butchering of the headers to make them fit without rubbing anything. But they will work out and and look okay when ever I get the time to sandblast and paint them with some por 15 manifold paint . Part two coming soon. After the headers are installed there will be an old start video with this car.

Nice car actually watched a show where they dyno tested banged up headers compared to nice new headers and the test concluded that the dents in the banged up headers did not effect how much Horsepower and Torque they put out believe it or not .... I mention this because you were concerned it seems some of the dents you have to put in your headers to make them fit were gonna effect some performance but it seems according to that test that you wont lose any Kinda cool test I thought you may like to hear about Cheers from job by the way!!!

I have a 68 Torino gt fastback with a 390 in it I bought headers for mine there Doug's headers ceramic coated and for some reason I cannot get them on. I'm hoping you can give me some help on this here's what I'm having trouble with #1 my steering arm on my steering box is hitting the header I can't find a way around it #2 the headers are so close to my power steering lines I'm worried there going to burn them while its running, just everything is so close, to close for comfort in my opinion any help is appreciated if I can post photos I'll will i don't know if I can or not but I paid right around $600 for them and they said they would fit my application but something is not adding up please help thanks again and I like the video
